SHINING OBJECTS
Series of folded photogravure prints, 2022
SHINNING OBJECTS is a series of hand folded photogravure prints, based on photos of silverware by British designer Christopher Dresser (1834-1904).
The series play with surface, illusion and process. Digital shapes and lines were drawn on the image, before they were hand printed as photogravures, then they were folded and cut up and finally they were mounted on mirror foil on the background. Some of the prints has been printed both on the front and the back of the paper to increase complexity.
They have been printed at Statens Værksteder,Copenhagen and at KKV Grafik, Malmø
