Zones
Series of 3D collages
I see this series of works, as zones of transition between the planned, codified and controlled reproduction of a space, and the unplanned, unintentional space that extends between the plans. The new space is anchored in the original but is pulled away from the basic shapes and geometries found in it. I imagine the image as a machine that displaces and transforms the original space and its different functions — a lobby, a staging — into a new kind of spatiality that exists in another temporal and formal reality.
